Gadimai festival tour


There could be no better way to experience the Gadimai Mela (festival) of Nepla than by joining the Wild Stone Adventure. The Gadimai festival, one of the largest festival of Hindu celebrated once in every five years. Held in Gadimai temple located near by the indian border of Bara Distict. Despite of being criticize of by the animal rights activists, this festival celabrated with the sacrification hoping that that the sacrifice will lead to the fulfillment of wishes by the goddess.

 Day 1 / Nov 25 : Pick up in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel 

Welcome greeting at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu by the representative from Wild Stone Adventure. You will then transfer to the Hotel for refreshment where you will be served with welcome drinks. Depending on your interest and condition you can either rest, hang around the street or visit our office for rest of the day.   Included: Welcome Drinks
Day 2 / Nov 26 : Kathmandu sightseeing
06 a.m : Breakfast
07 a.m : Pashupati Nath
Pashupati Nath is the biggest Shiva Temple in the world located in the located 5km east of Kathmandu city.The holiest Pashupatinath temple , with its astonishing architectural beauty, stands as a symbol of faith, religion, culture and tradition. Regarded as the most sacred temple of Hindu Lord Shiva in the world, Pashupatinath Temple's existence dates back to 400 A.D. This is one of the oldest temples,situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati river, the temple built in pagoda style has a jilted roof and richly carved silver doors. The Pashupatinath complex consists of around five hundred temples, more than one thousand Shiva lingams, bathing and cremation ghats.
11 a.m : Boudha Nath
Boudha Nath ,the biggest stupa of Nepal has been an central place of pilgrimage and meditations for Buddhists. Located 7 km east of Kathmandu,the stupa stands on a three-tiered platform raised over the crossed rectangles. Its is best place in Kathmandu to observe the Tibetan lifestyle, Tibetan Buddhist monks & nuns.Regarded as the "Little Tibet" of Nepal.
02 p.m :Swyambhu Nath
Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex located on a lovely little hillock west of Kathmandu. It is also known as the Monkey Temple as holy monkeys belived to be guarding the hill.There are 360 steps leading all the way to the top offers the magnificent views of Kathmandu valley and the breath taking panorama of snow clad Himalaya range. The main swayambhu stupa has lofty white dome and glittering golden spire. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.
Day 3 / Nov 27 : Drive kathmandu to Bariyarpur
Today after breakfast we drive to Bariyarpur where the Goddess Gadimai is located. We head around 160 km south of the Kathmandu into the Bara Distict. 
Day 3 / Nov 28 : First day of the Festival
Day 3 / Nov 29 : Second Day of the Festival
Day 3 / Nov 30 : Drive back to kathmandu and farewell
