Day 1 : Pick up in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel 

Welcome greeting at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu by the representative from Wild Stone Adventure. You will then transfer to the Hotel for refreshment where you will be served with welcome drinks. Depending on your interest and condition you can either rest, hang around the street or visit our office for rest of the day.   Included: Welcome Drinks

 

Day 2 : World Heritage site tour of Kathamdu 

              06 a.m : Breakfast

 07 a.m : Pashupati Nath

Pashupati Nath is the biggest Shiva Temple in the world located in the located 5km east of Kathmandu city.The holiest Pashupatinath temple , with its astonishing architectural beauty, stands as a symbol of faith, religion, culture and tradition. Regarded as the most sacred temple of Hindu Lord Shiva in the world, Pashupatinath Temple's existence dates back to 400 A.D. This is one of the oldest temples,situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati river, the temple built in pagoda style has a jilted roof and richly carved silver doors. The Pashupatinath complex consists of around five hundred temples, more than one thousand Shiva lingams, bathing and cremation ghats

 11 a.m :Boudha Nath

Boudha Nath ,the biggest stupa of Nepal has been an central place of pilgrimage and meditations for Buddhists. Located 7 km east of Kathmandu,the stupa stands on a three-tiered platform raised over the crossed rectangles. Its is best place in Kathmandu to observe the Tibetan lifestyle, Tibetan Buddhist monks & nuns.Regarded as the "Little Tibet" of Nepal.

 01 p.m :Lunch

 02 p.m :Swyambhu Nath

Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex located on a lovely little hillock west of Kathmandu. It is also known as the Monkey Temple as holy monkeys belived to be guarding the hill.There are 360 steps leading all the way to the top offers the magnificent views of Kathmandu valley and the breath taking panorama of snow clad Himalaya range. The main swayambhu stupa has lofty white dome and glittering golden spire. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.

  

Day 3 : World Heritage site of Patan and Bhaktapur

  

Day 4 : Fly Kathmandu - Bhairahawa and drive to  Lumbini  & Sightseeing

Today we fly from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa which takes 30 minutes and drive from Bhairahawa to Lumbini and it takes 30 minutes. The rest of the day we can observe the Lumbini Garden and surrounding areas. The most significient visit is Mayadevi Temple the exact place where Lord Buddha was born. We also visit the museum, peace pagoda, Ashoka's Piller and other important landmarks including Royal Thai Monastery, China temple, Japanese Monastery, Ladaka Monastery, German Monastery, Meditation center etc.

 

Day 5 :  Lumbini Circuit Tour

Today we explore the Lumbini Buddhist Circuit Tour. We drive and visit the religious and archelogical sites at Gotihawa, Kundan, Tilaurakot, Niglihawa, sagarhawa.

 

Gotihawa is an important religious and archaeological site for the Buddhist world community and also historically and archaeologically important. Located about 3 km southwest of Taulihawa, it is believed that Krakuchanda Buddha, who came before Shakyamuni Buddha, was born in Gotihawa and attained Nirvana here. Brick structures of stupa and monasteries can be seen in the area outside modern Gotihawa village.

 

Kudan is located some of 4.5 km south of Tilaurakot. It is a huge mound of structural ruins and a pond nearby appears to be the ruins of stupa and monasteries. These are believed to the Kasya Stupa, where a Kasaya (yellow robe worn by monks) was presented to Lord Buddha. This is where King Suddhodhana met Lord Buddha for the first time after he returned from Enlightenment.

 

Tilaurakot has been identified by archaeologists as the actual capital of Kapilvastu and the home of King Suddhodhan, father of Prince Siddhartha who later went on to become the Buddha. This is believed to be the place where Lore Buddha spent the first 29 years of his life as prince. The Chinese pilgrims Fa-Hien and Hiuen-Tsang noted that they saw Kapilavastu in complete ruins and counted 10 deserted cities within Kapilvastu.

 

Niglihawa is the significant archelogical site about 7 km north of Taulihawa where the remains of broken Ashokan  Piller lie close to the large pond. Emperor Ashoka built a stupa and set up a piller when he visited the site during his pilgrimage. it is belived that kanakmuni Buddha was born and enlightened here.

 

Sagarhawa is the forest site where the ruins of an ancient pond were excavated in 1895. Archeologist have identified this place as "Place of the Massacre of the Shakyas" . 

 

Day 6 : Explore Devadaha & Ramagrama and Drive to  Chitwan

Today we drive to Devadaha and to Ramagrama making an end of to Buddhist Cultural Tour. On the same day we drive to Chitwan for the jungle Safari.

 

Devadaha 54 km east of Lumbini across the Rohini River, is the ancient capital of the Koliya kingdom. It is the maternal hometown of Queen Maya Devi, Prince Siddhartha's mother, Prajapati Gautam, his stepmother, and Princess Yasodhara, his consort. This is where Prince Siddhartha spent his childhood. Seven years after his Enlightenment, Lord Buddha visited Devdaha and ordained the followers of Jain Sadhu Nirgrantha Nathputra. There are several other sites around Devdaha such as Kumarbarti, Khayardanda, Bairimai / Kanyamai, Bhabanipur / Devidamar, Mathagadi (ancient weapons).

 

Ramagrama is a brick mound on the bank of the Jharahi River. It is a 7 meter high brick stupa containing one of the eight Astha Dhatu (relics) of Lord Buddha. The king of Ramagrama, the eighth king to obtain the Buddha's relics, built the stupa. History says that Emperor Ashoka wanted to open it to multiply into eight four thousand stupa. However, the Dragon King of Ramagrama stupa did not permit.

 

Day 7 : Jungle safari Activities

            06 a.m : Breakfast

            08 a.m : Elephant Safari, Canoeing & Visit elephant breeding center

Today we enjoy the jungle safari activities that will include elephant back safari, nature walks, canoe ride and bird watching. This is an excellent opportunity to see deer, rhinoceros, boar, monkey, sloth bears, leopard, sloth bear, water buffalo, egrets, woodpecker and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky) in their natural habitat.

             01 p.m : Lunch

             03 p.m : Visit Tharu Village

              Visit nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn about the life and lifestyle indigenous people of Terai.

             06 p.m: Cultural Program with special Tharu stick dance

In the evening we will take part in the cultural program presented by the local villagers where you will get an opportunity to be a part of Tharu folk dance.The drummers and symbolic stick dancers perform traditional movements and invite guests to join them in this rhythmic display.

 

Day 8 : Drive Chitwan - Pokhara & Sightseeing

Today we drive to Pokhara from Chitwan.We retrace the road up to Mugling, we driver further west following the river .Its takes us 6 hour's to enter into the Paradise. Pokhara is the centre of adventure in Nepal. The Pokhara valley provides magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare and other snow capped mountains. Lovely lakes and mountains enhance the beauty of the valley. After arriving Pokhara, we explore around the lake side and make trips to some of the landmarks of Pokhara including old bazaars.In the evening, we ride a boat in Phewa Lake enjoying the sunset over the mountains

 

Day 9 :  Pokhara Sightseeing

Early morning we take a boat across the Phewa lake and hike up the hill through the pine trees up to top where the white colored welcomes us. the eye picking cultural icon at hilltop commands unbeatable views of Phewa Lake, Pokhara City, and a large section of the Annapurna mountain range. We backtrace our trail down and make a short visit to some of the fascinating landmarks of Pokhara including Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave (Hidden God), Davis's fall, Tibetan Handicraft Center, International Mountain Museum.

 

Day 10 : Drive  Pokhara - Kathmandu

Early morning we drive to Sarankot Hill for the sunrise and the spectacular views of the Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Ganesh, Manaslu and Annapurna peaks. After breakfast, we start our drive to Kathmandu. While on the drive you can enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will get transferred to our hotel for the refreshment and in evening you will pick up for the cultural dinner together with the Wild Stone Adventure staffs.

 

Day 11 : Farewell

Your Nepal tour has come to an end. Wild Stone Adventure representative will transfer you to International airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.

Every effort will be made to keep up with the above itinerary however it is the adventure in remote himalayan zone we cannot guarantee it! Wether condition, physical condition of trekkers and unexpected natural disasters can force to alter the itinerary.Your Leader will forward you with the alternatives so please be prepared to be flexible.

Arrival

Upon your arrive at Tribhuban International Airport (TIA), Wild Stone Adventures' representative will greet you and transport you to your Hotel. The rest of the day depends on your interest and condition, you can either take a rest or visit our office.The next day you will be formally introduced to your Guide, brief about the trek and enjoy sightseeing tour of the city's most influential cultural and historical landmarks.

 

Accommodation

Deluxe accommodation in Kathmandu, Lumbini, Chitwan and Pokhara on twin sharing basis with private facilities which are of Western style. If you are a solo traveler, you will share a room with someone else of same sex of your group. If you prefer a single room, you may get a single room on request by paying some extra single supplement. (generally USD 250).

 

Transportation

Wild Stone Adventure use high quality private transportation for comfort and safety.On longer routes, we use private or tourist buses, which provide a slightly higher degree of comfort. For air transportation Wild Stone uses modern, comfortable and most - reliable airline operator. During sightseeing we use private car or van depending upon the group size.

 

Meals

We provide quality food in sufficient quantities during your trip period. Best of Nepal Trip cost include breakfast in Kathmandu and Pokhara and three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) from hotel  menu while on Chitwan. 

 

Currency Exchange

The official currency of Nepal is Nepalese Rupee (NRs)

It is best to bring a mixture of cash and travelers checks in major currencies - USD, CAD, EUR, AUD - and ensure you have a mixture of large and small denominations. Money may easily be exchanged at Kathmandu airport on arrival and banks and licensed moneychangers in cities. Credit card cash advances and ATM withdrawals are in NPR only.

Before departing on your trek, make sure you have enough Nepalese currency in small denominations as change is hard to find in the villages ( 100 rupee are easy to trade )

 

 Extra Pocket Money

While trekking with wild Stone adventure, all meals are included in your trip cost . You will need very little local currency for meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara extra snacks, soft drinks or souvenirs along the trail.

Extra money dependa upon your spending habit. Please consider your own spending habits when you count for extra pocket money.

 

 Emergency Fund

Please also make sure you have access to at least an additional USD $200 as an emergency fund, to be used when circumstances beyond our control ( natural disaster, extreme weather, nepal strikes) require a change to our planned route. This is a rare occurrence!

 

 Travel Insurence
Adequate and valid travel insurance is compulsory for all travelers. Your travel insurance must cover accidents, injury, illness and death medical expenses, including any related to pre-existing medical conditions, emergency repatriation (including helicopter rescue and air ambulance where applicable) and personal liability.

 

 Etiquette

When visiting and entering temples and Nepalis house you must remove your shoes. In some temples, it is forbidden to wear any leather goods. Other temples, such as those in Pashupatinath, do not allow foreigner besides hindu to enter. These are normally marked with a sign in English, and we urge you to respect such practices.

Always ask permission before taking photos inside any temples, and before photographing any local people. When permission is granted, always be sensitive when photographing people, and non-intrusive when shooting inside temples when prayers are in progress. Generally, photography is allowed outside Buddhist and Hindu temples and at religious ceremonies and festivals.

 

You are guest in Nepal and it is appriciated if you behave like Nepali (Local):

  • Dress Respectfully (no short shorts or revealing clothes)
  • Do not show affection in public.
  • Do not buy antiques.
  • Do not point your feet (unclean) to people and point with full hand not with one finger.
  • Do not step over persons.
  • Do not touch or step over offerings (red powder, flowers/rice)
  • Do not use your left hand (dirty)
  • Receive and give with two hands.
  • Ask permission before taking people's photographs.
  • Discourage begging, pay fair price
  • Take off your shoes before entering a monastery or Nepali house.
  • Go clockwise roung the stupas, temples etc
  • Avoid touching monks / lamas.
  •  

Clothing 
Dress respectfully with an awareness of local standards. To respect this and for your own comfort, we strongly recommend modest clothing. This means clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. Loose, lightweight, long clothing is both respectful and cool during hiking. In many rural areas women will need to wear modest clothing even to swim. Singlets, tank tops and topless sun bathing are all unaccepted. While visiting temples,monasteriesand other religious sites men need to wear long trousers and women a long skirt.

 

 Laundry

Laundry facilities are offered by some of our hotels for a small charge. There will be times when you may want to or have to do your ownlaundry so we suggest you bring biodegradable soap.
