Day 1 : Pick up in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel
Welcome greeting at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu by the representative from Wild Stone Adventure. You will then transfer to the Hotel for refreshment where you will be served with welcome drinks. Depending on your interest and condition you can either rest, hang around the street or visit our office for rest of the day. Included: Welcome Drinks
Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing and Nagarkot Drive
Today after breakfast, we start an interesting guided tour to three of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Kathmandu valley : Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupati Nath and Boudh Nath. These Heritage sites stand as the epitome of culture, religion, history and faith of the Kathmandu valley. After visit to
06 a.m : Breakfast
07 a.m : Kathmandu Durbar Square
Kathmandu Durbar Square is located at the center of Kathmandu city in Basantapur never fails to impress first time visitors with its intricate wood carvings and rich history. This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, is an oasis of culture, religion and history. Once the residence of Nepal's Royal family, all coronation ceremonies were held here. The palace is an amalgamation of eastern and western architecture with additions by Rana and Shah rulers over the centuries. An unbelievable 50 temples lie within the vicinity including the temple of the titular deity, Taleju Bhawani. The Durbar is divided into two courtyards, the outer Kasthamandap, Kumari Ghar, and Shiva-Parvati Temple, and the inner section consisting of Hanuman Dhoka and the main palace. Some floors have been converted to museums dedicated to three generations of Shah kings. Some important monuments to see in this area are The Taleju Temple, The Jagannath Temple,The Kal Bhairav, Swet-Bhairav, Kaandasthamp and Nautalle Durbar.
10 a.m : Pashupati Nath
Pashupati Nath is the biggest Shiva Temple in the world located in the located 5km east of Kathmandu city.The holiest Pashupatinath temple , with its astonishing architectural beauty, stands as a symbol of faith, religion, culture and tradition. Regarded as the most sacred temple of Hindu Lord Shiva in the world, Pashupatinath Temple's existence dates back to 400 A.D. This is one of the oldest temples,situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati river, the temple built in pagoda style has a jilted roof and richly carved silver doors. The Pashupatinath complex consists of around five hundred temples, more than one thousand Shiva lingams, bathing and cremation ghats.
1 a.m : Boudha Nath
Boudha Nath ,the biggest stupa of Nepal has been an central place of pilgrimage and meditations for Buddhists. Located 7 km east of Kathmandu,the stupa stands on a three-tiered platform raised over the crossed rectangles. Its is best place in Kathmandu to observe the Tibetan lifestyle, Tibetan Buddhist monks & nuns.Regarded as the "Little Tibet" of Nepal.
05 p.m : Nagarkot
Nagarkot is located 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu at an elevation of 2195m, is one of the most scenic spots in Bhaktapur district. It is renowned for its spectacular sunrise view of the Himalaya when the weather is clear. Visitors often travel to Nagarkot from Kathmandu to spend the night so that they can be there for the breathtaking sunrise. Nagarkot has acquired fame as one of the best spots to view Mount Everest as well as other snow topped peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal. It also offers a panoramic view of Kathmandu Valley as well as an excellent view of the Indrawati river valley to the east.
Day 3 : Drive Nagarkot - Dhulikhel & Explore Newari Village
Early morning breathtaking sunrise view over the snow-capped Himalayas with Ganesh himal range, Lantang range, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal and Everest range make fantastic start of the day. After breakfast we drive to Dhulikhel :small town with long history.
Dhulikhel is set at a height of 1,500m above sea level and 30 Km east of Kathmandu on the Kodari Highway. Dhulikhel is a small town with a long history. The artistic skill and urban ethos of its Newar inhabitants have created a place of charm and beauty. Streets lined with bare-brick houses, carved wooden windows, sloping title roofs, pagoda temples and sacred statues everywhere. You will think you have wandered into a cultural theme park.The city provides an absolute panoramic sight the Himalayan ranges from Mt. Langtang in the west to the Mt. Everest in the east can be clearly viewed in a clear day. Dhulikhel is ideal for snow-capped peaks, sunrise, sunset and cultural taste.
Day 4: Drive Dhulikhel - Daman
After breakfast we start our drive to Daman, 80 km south from Kathmandu at the altitude of 2322m. We follow the Prithivi Highway upto Naubasei and drive deep into the mountains through sparse settlements and Rodhodendron forest.
Daman is an exciting Holiday Paradise for travellers with the wide range of Himalaya views including Mount Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shankar, Cho Oyu.The view tower at Daman offers the views of an amazingly large section of the Himalayan range stretching from Mt. Everest in the East to Mt. Dhaulagiri in the West. This beautiful hill station is the home for tremendous varieties of wild orchids, Rodhodendron and thick pine. Another attraction of this site is the view of the exciting Snowfall, the eyecatching scenes of the Sunrise and Sunset. One can also enjoy exploring through villages where they can observe human civilization in a historical perspective. Daman is a perfect dream of delight for those who like to get lost in the blissfulness of abundant natural gift.
Day 5 : Drive Daman - Gorkha
Today we drive from Daman to Gorkhar. We retrace the road up to Naubasei, and follow the Prithivi Highway which leads us to Gorkha Bazaar.
Gorkha is situated at hilltop 131km from Kathmandu valley at an altitude of 1,145m. Gorkha is a scenic hill- town with great historical significance. It is famous ancestral home to the Shah Kings and the famous Gorkha soldiers. The hallmark of Gorkha is the Gorkha Durbar at an altitude of 1000m is a fort, palace and a temple which offers the excellent view of valley surrounding the Gorkha along with the Manaslu range. Situated in the hilltop overlooking the snowy mountains Himalayas is a glorious palace of Gorkha. Some of the attractions of Gorkha are Gorkha Durbar, Gorakhnath Cave, Upallokot, Manakamana.
Day 6 : Drive Gorkha - Bandipur
Today we drive from Gorkha to Bandipur. We retrace the road to Abu Khaireni, and follow the Kathmandu - Pokhara Highway upto Dumre and take a jeep to the hilltop of age-old flavour Newar town.
Bandipur is situated 135km. west of Kathmandu on the way to Pokhara. The old cultural and natural remarkable Bandipur offers a great treat to the urban eyes hungry for nature's company, especially the panoramic views of the Annapurnas. The town is a living museum of Newari culture with more than 70% of the buildings being Newari style houses - carved wooden windows and overhanging slate roofs. Newari town with its temples, shrines holy caves, innumerable festivals and a Newari architecture that harks back to the Kathmandu Valley of old. The surrounding hills are ideal for great hikes and fantastic views of Himalayan Panorama.
Day 7 : Drive Bandipur - Pokhara
After breakfast we drive to Pokhara.Pokhara is the centre of adventure in Nepal. The Pokhara valley provides magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare and other snow capped mountains. Lovely lakes and mountains enhance the beauty of the valley. After arriving Pokhara, we explore around the lake side and make trips to some of the landmarks of Pokhara including old bazaars.In the evening, we ride a boat in Phewa Lake enjoying the sunset over the mountains.
Day 8 : Pokhara sightseeing
Early morning we take a boat across the Phewa lake and hike up the hill through the pine trees up to top where the white colored Pagoda welcomes us. the eye picking cultural icon at hilltop commands unbeatable views of Fewa Lake, Pokhara City, and a large section of the Annapurna mountain range. We backtrace our trail own and make a short visit to some of the fasinating landmarks of Pokhara including Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave (Hidden God), Davis's fall, Tibetan Handicraft Center, International Mountain Museum.
Day 9 : Morning excursion to Sarangkot. Drive back to Kathmandu.
Early morning we drive to Sarankot Hill for the sunrise and the spectacular views of the Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Ganesh, Manaslu and Annapurna peaks. After breakfast, we start our drive to Kathmandu. While on the drive you can enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will get transferred to our hotel for the refreshment and in evening you will pick up for the cultural dinner together with the Wild Stone Adventure staffs.
Day 10 : Farewell
Your Nepal Hill station holidays has come to an end. Wild Stone Adventure representative will transfer you to International airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.
